The City of Fort Lauderdale owns and operates the Executive Airport. However, the City does not control or direct aircraft, but submits recommendations on noise abatement measures to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for their final decision.
The City receives input from the community on noisy aircraft events. It’s extremely important to the City to receive reports in a timely manner in order for staff to effectively follow up with aircraft operators to help reduce aircraft noise.
The City provides an Aircraft Noise Reporting Form (see below) and a 24-Hour Noise Abatement Hotline telephone number for residents to report excessive loud aircraft noise.
