Community Builders, Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (FXE) tenants, and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Broward County joined together October 13, 2017 at FXE to raise awareness for breast cancer during the City’s first-ever Fly Pink event. More than 200 people attended the event and participated in a 1-mile walk with Mayor John P. “Jack” Seiler and Commissioner Robert L. McKinzie, learned about breast cancer prevention from guest speakers, enjoyed a healthy lunch from sponsors Beehive Kitchen and Jet Runway Café, and raised $1,820 for breast cancer research through the Fly Pink Raffle for a Cure, which included a 45-minute helicopter ride as the grand prize. All proceeds from the raffle were presented to the American Cancer Society on behalf of City Community Builders and airport tenants.
