On March 11, 2017 Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (FXE) reached a historic milestone in turning 70. FXE plays a vital role in South Florida and the national airport system, serving a variety of private, corporate and government aviation needs. Formerly a training center for World War II Navy pilots, including former President George H.W. Bush, today FXE is home to more than 1,000 based aircraft.
