NOTICE TO PILOTS: Noise Reduction Considerations
Avoid Excessively Loud Aircraft Operations
The City of Fort Lauderdale works with the community, pilots, airport tenants and users, and government agencies to develop a comprehensive and reasonable noise abatement program to provide effective noise relief to the surrounding communities.
We encourage pilots to fly neighborly.
Noise Reduction Considerations
• All aircraft voluntarily refrain from flying during the nighttime hours:
10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• Climb as quickly as possible. Keep the noise at the airport.
• The higher the aircraft altitude, the less noise heard on the ground.
• Avoid exceeding the voluntary maximum noise level of 80 dB Lmax.
Your cooperation is greatly appreciated. For more information about FXE’s Noise Abatement For Pilots visit the Airport’s Noise Abatement page.
